Catch Mr A Badenhorst Senior with some of our wines at Noble Vice at the Old Biscuit Mill in Woodstock, Cape Town, this weekend.
And cousin Helena will be pouring our Caperitif in cocktails next weekend at the Street Food Festival’s Convivium Block Party.
We’re pointing our Toyota’s to Cape Town, came say hi and watch out Woodstock.
40% of wine fundis asked to pick a value for money white wine will go with our Secateurs Chenin Blanc.
Featured in the August issue of Fair Lady magazine, both Gina Neilson (co-owner of 9th Avenue Bistro and Boiler Room Cafe) and John Maytham (Cape Talk Radio) opted for a Secateurs.

The Swartland is finally looking green again. We’ve had some (but not yet enough) rain, there has been some snow on the mountains on the horizon and we’ve started a new project (or two, or three).

The second annual New Wave tasting of South African wines will take place in London on 11 October. The lineup of is fantastic and all I will say is – watch out London…

A nice list of “poor man’s Pinot” including wines by neighbours and in-laws.
It is true, come November there will once again be a unique regional wine experience to attend. Like at the very successful Swartland Revolution of the past the Swartland Independent Producers want to share the good food, stunning scenery and diverse (award winning) wine of the region with fans and friends. This time in the scenic West Coast town of Paternoster!
That’s right. International speakers, masterclasses, talks, tastings and music. And what the poster doesn’t tell you is that renowned local chef Bertus Basson has been confirmed as the weekend’s chef. Snacks, dinner, lunch…
