The annual Swartland Independent (SIP) Heritage Festival is coming soon!
Once more taking place over the first weekend of November in the beautiful west coast town of Paternoster – this year’s edition features some interesting speakers and sought after chefs, alongside the SIP winemaking legends, obviously.
On the international speakers (and pourers) list this year we have Tom Lubbe of Domaine Matassa in Roussilon, France and Taras Ochota of Ochota Barrels in South Australia, mate.
Lubbe at Matassa is well known for working with small parcels of very old vines, using biodynamic practices and making wines with no additives or processing aids. Sound familiar?
While Taras Ochota will bring another epic beard and insight into the similarities (and differences) between what we know here in the Swartland and a life of surfing and making beautiful holistic wines with his wife Amber in the Adelaide Hills.
All tastings, drinks, talks and meals are included in your ticket and over the course of the weekend the food will be prepared by Cape Town favourite Ash Heeger, food camp champ Suzi Holtzhausen and Weskus local legends Oep ve Koep.
And to round it all off Valiant Swart and his guitar will bring some entertainment to the mix.
There are still a few tickets available at R2950pp, so get on that – available on quicket (click here!) and for more info you can mail rsvp@studio-h.co.za.
