The 2025 Papegaai range brings together those three things in one story.
All the grapes, red and white, big and small, were picked together and left to ferment together on their skins. It’s a kind of arranged marriage, one that works because the parents were considerate in setting it up ( and have thought about it for over a decade).
Very little sulphur was added and the wine was bottled unfiltered.
Papegaai White
Red & white grapes from 23 young vineyards (planted on the decomposed granite of Kalmoesfontein, since we took over the farm in 2008) picked together (over a few days) and left to ferment on their skins. Very little sulphur was added and the wine was bottled unfiltered.

Papegaai Dry Red
